Hi! I’m Robbin and thanks for checking out my blog! A little of this and that is mostly about life and all of its fantastical wonders. Eh, just kidding. It’s about my life, yes, but also about some things that I love: kids, crafts and cooking.

So a little about me. I’m a 4o  41 42 year old divorced mother of one, Ms. Autumn. Nothing too exciting, ya know, the standard: home, work, kid, and relationships. Life.

I just started experimenting with photography, which is handy since my favorite craft is scrapbooking.  I love, love, love to cook. I like our meals to meals to be healthy, fun and with a blended family of five, as inexpensive as possible. Full disclosure here: I’m not a professional, well anything, but in this instance: chef.  Almost all of the recipes on this site are from someone else. A book, a magazine; sometimes even my inbox at work. I make it. The kids eat it.  If it’s kid approved, I post it.

That’s what this blog is about: some new recipes, a scrapbook page or two, some advice on how to take down the attitude of whichever kid is pissing me off, motivation to lose that last 20 30 pounds…

Ef it. I’m just in search of the worlds best chocolate chip cookie recipe.

Thank you! I’m very honored! I need to figure out how to make a link 🙂 Can I ask why you nominated me?

      • Charity April 26, 2014 / 1:32 am

I should have already explained that! Sorry! I am way behind on informing my nominees and was rushing a bit. I nominated you Because even though we have very little in common as far as where we are in life and what we blog about (though general life can be sort of similar), I enjoy the convesational way you write. (And I’d enjoy reading what you’d have to say in answer to my questions ^_^)

Thank you! I really appreciate that! I look forward to answering the questions 🙂 And even though I’ve probably 20yrs on you..we probably have more in common than you think. On line dating…Need I say more? The stories, OMG!
        Thank you again!

If you have stories about that, I would LOVE to hear them ^_^

Ah, teenagers. Best of luck to you there. I’ve been in TeenTown since 2003 but it feels much longer. On any given day I would have traded my teenagers for a gaggle of toddlers. My baby is 18-1/2 and it remains a very trying stage!

    • autumnsmom14 April 29, 2014 / 11:40 pm

Well, let me tell you what, I’m ready to get the hell out of TeenTown! What’s worse, is that she’s not mine. At least when Autumn gets to be that age, I will have had time to work up to it. With Allison, I was thrown into the teenage hormone drama, as she literally just walked by me with a snarl on her face. Ah, the problems of the blended family!

Yikes!! I can only imagine. And teenage girls are the WORST!!! I think you develop an immunity to the attitude over time. At least, I feel that I have but it’s been a long 11 years!

Hi! Your blog looks really interesting! I’m a mother to four children. I was curious, how did you get that Blogging University stamp thing? What is that? I’m sorry, did I mention I was new at this? Any tips?

Hi! Thanks for stopping by! A few times a year, WordPress offers different blogging courses, Blogging 101, Writing 101 etc. I just finished photography 101 this week.If you follow The Daily Post, it will update you on when the different courses start. I’m new at this myself, so as far as tips go? Cross your fingers and hope for the best! And definitely utilize the WordPress courses. They really do help!

      • mamalisa4 December 2, 2014 / 10:44 pm

I saw that but didn’t realized that it was a course! However, now that just sounds stupid! Does it cost money? Thanks for responding!!

      • autumnsmom14 December 2, 2014 / 10:51 pm

The courses are free, thank goodness!! And they are like “at your own pace” etc. I think the people at WordPress just want you to have the best blogging experience you can get! Well, that’s what I took from it anyway 🙂 Welcome to the crazy world of blogging!!
